Tristan Thompson worries about how his children will feel about the decisions he has made in the past.

In the latest episode of The Kardashians , the NBA player, 32, shares an update on his home construction with Khloé Kardashian as he continues to stay at her home.

“I can’t wait for you to see the finished product,” he said, and the Good American co-founder, 39, joked, “Trust me, I can’t wait to see the finished product either.”

“No, I understand. I know, there’s nothing like your own space to some extent,” he said.

“It’s not to a degree, just a matter of time. I still need my space. I like being alone,” she corrected, prompting Thompson to point out that he “was a wonderful houseguest.”

Thompson goes on to talk about unlearning some behaviors that have been enforced on him as a professional athlete and cites his kids for wanting to make the change.

“It wasn’t until I really had to look at myself. I never had to hold myself accountable. We’re taught, ‘Be the man, do what you please, bros before hoes …’ ” he says. “You gotta just be your own man and don’t care what people think and don’t feel like you have to get validation from others.”

Turning his attention to his older two kids — True , 5, and Prince Oliver , 6½ — Thompson shares concerns about what they’ll learn about his shortcomings.

“True is understanding stuff and Prince understands things where they go to school and they have classmates. The last thing I ever want them to do is feel embarrassed that I’m their father,” he says.

“I think going down this journey that I’ve been on, especially with losing my mom , I always ask myself, ‘Why do certain things to hurt certain people?’”

In her confessional, Kardashian noted that “what happened between Tristan and I was not some small little incident. It was some massive situation that really was a very traumatic experience for me in my life, so I’m not going to forget it.”

“But I’m so proud that I’m able to be kind and mature and show my children that mommy and daddy can coexist and be co-parents,” she continues. “I’m able to be here for him when he’s in his time of need.”
