Một người đi thư viện ở Úc đang đi trên một con đường bên ngoài thư viện khi họ bắt đầu giẫm lên thứ mà họ nghĩ là vòi vườn nào đó – cho đến khi nó di chuyển.
Người này nhanh chóng nhận ra chiếc vòi thực sự là một con rắn và vội vã chạy vào bên trong để cho nhân viên thư viện biết ai đang ẩn nấp ngay bên ngoài. Muốn bảo vệ cả các thành viên trong cộng đồng và con rắn, họ đã liên hệ với Hodgsons Snakes Rescue and Removal để được hỗ trợ.

By the time the rescue arrived, the snake had blended into his surroundings once again — but his hide-and-seek skills weren’t sneaky enough for the experts.
“[It] took me about 30 seconds, although those keeping an eye on it lost sight of it,” Gianni Hodgson of Hodgsons Snakes Rescue and Removal told The Dodo.
The snake turned out to be a red-bellied black snake. While these snakes are venomous, they’re not as dangerous to humans as some of the other species of snakes living in Australia. Hodgson and his team were able to secure the snake and relocate him somewhere a little more remote.
“Because he was in the middle of town, we relocated him to an area of bush outside of town near a lake,” Hodgson said.
Later on, Hodgson posted a photo of the concealed snake on Facebook and invited his followers to try and find him. Hodgson plays this game with his followers often. It’s his way of trying to familiarize people with how to spot sneaky snakes when they’re nearby.
Overall, the day had a happy ending — the snake got a new, safer place to live, and he helped some humans play an entertaining game of “find the snake.”
