A mother and her four children died after being run over on RJ-116, the Presidente João Goulart highway. The collision occurred at the altitude of KM 14, in Cachoeiras de Macacu. In a publication released by the NGO SOS Vida Silvestre, biologist and president of the NGO, Francis Leandro, warns. “Show you the impact of a hit and run. There are thousands of rings that die every year from being run over and burned. Our fauna calls for help,” the biologist said.
